Mom Loves Comics? DC Has Some Ideas For You!
Is your mom or the mother in your life a big comic fan? Are you struggling with what to get her? DC comics has a few ideas that they wanted to make sure you were aware of.
1. Quality Reading Material - DC has some great collections out there that are sure to cover whatever genre your mom is in to. Black Canary Volume 1 is a personal favorite of mine in this group, the creative team of Brenden Fletcher (writer), Annie Wu (artist) and Pia Guerra (artist) have made this a book that I think anyone would enjoy. The art in this book is just outstanding, it reflects the mood and style of the story perfectly. If you are looking for something a little less super-hero and a little more fantastical then you may want to check out Fables: Legends in Exile, another book that is sure to please! I could go on about all these books, but the truth is if you are shopping for a comic fan then they will love any of them.
2. Some Nice Art - DC also has some statues that may be just what you are looking for and the ones in particular that you should check out are from the DC series Bombshells. The statues are amazing and have an amazing 1940's vibe to them. Of course you would also want to make sure and put the DC Bombshells book right along with it, because why not. This series is a lot of fun and the statues communicate that feeling perfectly. This should be on everyones list of things to check out for mom this Mother's Day.
