Private Cocktail Society App Kicks off with Launch Events Featuring All American Rejects

New York, NY— HOOCH, a members only cocktail app based in NYC, today, announced its national expansion to San Diego, CA, its second market in the Golden State. Rapidly growing since its debut in November 2015, HOOCH echoes the Prohibition Era speakeasies by creating a virtual cocktail society that helps customers find the best bars to enjoy their favorite drinks. Starting July 19, the app will be available in San Diego just in time for Comic Con, introducing imbibers to a diverse series of venues across the city. 

“We are excited to launch our second city on the West Coast after the tremendous positive response we saw from our LA members,” said Hooch CEO Lin Dai. “With other 100,000 tech savvy consumers descending on the city during Comic Con week, what better ways to take in the rich and diverse culture of San Diego than discovering top bars and restaurants while enjoying a locally crafted cocktail for free?”

With the San Diego expansion, HOOCH has partnered with top venues such as 1919, Union Kitchen Tap and Madison. The app will introduce SoCal members to new places to see-and-be-seen while sipping classic and specialty cocktails at the most coveted bars and nightlife destinations.

In honor of its second West Coast expansion, HOOCH announces its first celebrity brand ambassador, All American Rejects frontman Tyson Ritter, who will host a two night launch extravaganza exclusively for Hooch members at Parq on July 21st and Cake lounge on July 22nd, immediately following the band’s sold-out concerts with Blink 182. All attendees must download HOOCH to gain entrance to the celebrations where guests will enjoy complimentary Hooch cocktails while being treated to a special DJ set by Tyson Ritter . HOOCH will also host a VIP artist lounge for the band and lucky fans can win the chance for an upgrade to the VIP lounge by redeeming a complimentary drink.

How it works: Members pay $9.99/month (less than the price of one cocktail) or $99/per year and are given one round of cocktails on HOOCH at participating venues. Each venue offers HOOCH members a specially curated drinks menu where they can select one cocktail to enjoy with fellow HOOCH members.

The brainchild of nightlife veteran Aleksey Kernes (Hotel Chantelle), tech industry expert Lin Dai(Keek, Emmis NY and Alloy Media + Marketing), and digital marketing entrepreneur Jared Christopherson (Yellow Hammer Ad Agency), HOOCH is the first “Private Cocktail Society" subscription app that buys a round of drinks each day at some of the top cocktail bars, elite lounges and premiere restaurants in New York City, Los Angeles, Austin, Dallas, Miami and now San Diego. 

HOOCH launched exclusively in New York in November 2015 on both iOS and Android. The HOOCH app is available for free download in the Apple App Store and on Google Play.
