Good Nerd Bad Nerd Episode 15 Show Notes - Let's Go Out to the Movies

Let's Go Out to the Movies

This week on Good Nerd Bad Nerd we are looking forward, to the things that are coming down the cinematic pipeline. That is right folks, we are giving you a batting order for movies coming out this Fall. We will hit all the big ones and tell you if we are excited or not. Then we have a night cap with this episodes 5x5 as we give your our best and worst for Movies Characters to get a drink with. All that and more, but first...

News From Around the Nerd

The Good

After the lukewarm reception that Ben Affleck got last week when he was announced as Batman, it was nice to get the news this week from Marvel. They have cast the role of Ultron as the prolific actor James Spader. Most nerds will immediately recognize him from Boston Legal, or as Daniel Jackson from Stargate, but his career is much more than that. This is a great choice from Marvel for the big bad in Avengers 2 and we can not wait to see him in action.

DC's television department is making all the right choices these days. First they smartly cast Arrow for a great first season. Then they show us their road map and talk about all the characters that will be joining that universe. The addition of Amanda Waller makes this map look all the nicer. Her character is the Nick Fury of DC, if Nick Fury was even more hard core. She is so bad ass she can make Batman get worried and she will be a great addition to season 2 and beyond of Arrow.

The Bad

First of all, the fact that the image above is real and was made is bad enough. Secondly, that they are making another movie is even worse. The joke about studios raping our childhoods is inappropriate here, because this is just too messed up. Stop it WB!

You are on thin ice Fox! How dare you not do what needed to be done to get Stan 'the man' Lee into the Wolverine. Furthermore, the fact that you would not make up for it in X-Men:DoFP is unforgivable. You are officially on notice! I don't want anymore of this crap from you ok! Here is the tragic story

(to make us all feel better)

(Arguments are made for either Stan Lee or Jack Kirby, I prefer the Lee theory)
